ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,220,395, issued on Feb. 11, was assigned to AJINOMOTO Co. INC. (Tokyo).

"Intermittent endurance capacity improving agent or blood pH elevating agent" was invented by Tomoko Ando (Kawasaki, Japan), Sakiko Toyoda (Kawasaki, Japan), Hiroyuki Kato (Kawasaki, Japan) and Yoshihito Nogusa (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Agents containing either or both of aspartic acid and tyrosine are effective for improving intermittent endurance capacity."

The patent was filed on Feb. 23, 2021, under Application No. 17/182,794.
