ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,408,684, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to Air Protein Inc. (San Leandro, Calif.).
"High protein food compositions" was invented by Lisa Dyson (Pleasanton, Calif.), Kripa Rao (Pleasanton, Calif.) and John Reed (Pleasanton, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Food products are provided in which microbial protein sources, such as single cell protein or protein hydrolysis products, are incorporated. Artificial meat products are provided that include microbial protein in place of animal protein."
The patent was filed on June 30, 2021, under Application No. 17/363,465.
