ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,416,917, issued on Sept. 16, was assigned to AI Inc. (Toronto).
"Autonomous shopping device" was invented by Ali Ebrahimi Afrouzi (Henderson, Nev.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is an autonomous mobile robotic device that may carry, transport, purchase and deliver one or more items for purchase in a work environment. The robotic device may include a container within which the one or more items may be placed. Once tasks are complete, the robotic device may autonomously navigate to a predetermined location."
The patent was filed on May 14, 2022, under Application No. 17/744,652.
