ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,545,737, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to AGENSYS INC. (Northbrook, Ill.).
"Antibodies that bind to AXL proteins" was invented by Karen Jane Meyrick Morrison (Santa Monica, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Antibodies that bind to AXL protein and variants thereof are described herein. AXL exhibits a distinct and limited expression pattern in normal adult tissue(s), and is aberrantly expressed in the cancers listed in Table I. Consequently, the MAbs of the invention provide a diagnostic composition for the treatment and management of cancer."
