US Patent Issued to AGC on Jan. 27 for "Thermal spray particle, method for producing thermal spray particles, and thermal spray coating film" (Japanese Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,534,792, issued on Jan. 27, was assigned to AGC Inc. (Tokyo).

"Thermal spray particle, method for producing thermal spray particles, and thermal spray coating film" was invented by Yasunari Ishikawa (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A thermal spray particle is substantially spherical, and contains iron and aluminum. An amount of aluminum contained in the thermal spray particle is in a range of 32 wt % to 48 wt %. The thermal spray particle includes a first region, in which a concentration of aluminum is in a range of 22 wt % to 37 wt %; and a second region, in which a concentration of aluminum is in a range of 40 wt % to 50 wt %."
