ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,487,933, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (Santa Clara, Calif.).
"Cache grouping for increasing performance and fairness in shared caches" was invented by John Kelley (Fort Collins, Colo.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method includes monitoring one or more metrics for each of a plurality of cache users sharing a cache, and assigning each of the plurality of cache users to one of a plurality of groups based on the monitored one or more metrics."
The patent was filed on May 17, 2023, under Application No. 18/319,016.
