US Patent Issued to Advanced Building Products on July 1 for "Rafter vent" (Maine Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,345,437, issued on July 1, was assigned to Advanced Building Products Inc. (Sanford, Maine).

"Rafter vent" was invented by Keith A. Lolley (Sanford, Maine).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided herein are rafter vents including a ventilated mat extending along a roof structure, the ventilated mat comprising a plurality of entangled filaments, and a backing adhered to the ventilated mat along a surface of the ventilated mat configured to face opposite the roof structure."
