ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,364,488, issued on July 22, was assigned to Advance Research System LLC (Edina, Minn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A trans-facet procedure for preparing a patient for oblique lateral lumbar interbody fusion (OLLIF). The preparation procedure includes providing a kit with instruments for accessing Kambin's triangle through bone at nominal approaches preferred for the OLLIF procedure, and providing instructions for the procedure on a non-transitory tangible medium."
