ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,378,986, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to Adorn Home (Walnut Creek, Calif.).

"Customizable furniture" was invented by Brian Black (Concord, Calif.) and Mimi Tao (Concord, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A customizable furniture is disclosed. The customizable furniture may include a furniture base including an upper base portion and a lower base portion.
