ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,412,419, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to ADOBE INC. (San Jose, Calif.).

"Tracking unique face identities in videos" was invented by Ali Aminian (Piedmont, Calif.), Aashish Kumar Misraa (Santa Clara, Calif.), Kshitiz Garg (Santa Clara, Calif.) and Aseem Agarwala (Seattle).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Some aspects of the technology described herein perform identity identification on faces in a video. Object tracking is performed on detected faces in frames of a video to generate tracklets.
