ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,333,634, issued on June 17, was assigned to Adobe Inc. (San Jose, Calif.).
"Curve generation for sketch vectorization" was invented by Ashwani Chandil (Noida, India), Vineet Batra (Pitam Pura, India), Matthew David Fisher (Burlingame, Calif.), Deepali Aneja (Seattle) and Ankit Phogat (Noida, India).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Generating a vector representation of a hand-drawn sketch is described. To do so, the sketch is segmented into different superpixel regions. Superpixels are grown by distributing superpixel seeds throughout an image of the sketch and assigning unassigned pixels to a neighboring superpixel based on pixel value diff...
