ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,434,116, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to Acushnet Co. (Fairhaven, Mass.).
"Putter with improved construction and alignment" was invented by Don T. Cameron (Carlsbad, Calif.) and Augustin W. Rollinson (Del Mar, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A putter having a body made from at least three separate components joined together. At least two of the components making up the body of the putter containing sightlines for aiding in putter alignment."
The patent was filed on Aug. 8, 2023, under Application No. 18/446,374.
