ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,472,404, issued on Nov. 18, was assigned to Acushnet Co. (Fairhaven, Mass.).

"Golf ball having a radar detectable mark" was invented by Matthew F. Hogge (Plymouth, Mass.), Brian Comeau (Berkley, Mass.), Michael R. Madson (Easton, Mass.), Richard Daprato (Acushnet, Mass.), Nicholas M. Nardacci (Barrington, R.I.) and Peter L. Serdahl (New Bedford, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Golf balls including one or more layers having at least one radar detectable mark disposed on the surface thereof are provided."
