US Patent Issued to Acushnet on July 8 for "Golf club head utilizing internal adhesive and metal composite" (Massachusetts Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,350,561, issued on July 8, was assigned to Acushnet Co. (Fairhaven, Mass.).

"Golf club head utilizing internal adhesive and metal composite" was invented by Tony Luna (Fairhaven, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A golf club head is manufactured to form a cavity where the striking face of the golf club is secured to the sole and upper portion of the golf club head. A weighted composite is manipulated into a predetermined location within the cavity. The composite contains an adhesive which secures the composite within the cavity."
