ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,369,813, issued on July 29, was assigned to Aclarion Inc. (San Mateo, Calif.).

"MR spectroscopy system and method" was invented by James Clayton Peacock III (San Carlos, Calif.), John Patrick Claude (Redwood City, Calif.) and Paul Henry Kane (Albuquerque, N.M.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An MR Spectroscopy (MRS) system and approach is provided for diagnosing painful and non-painful discs in chronic, severe low back pain patients (DDD-MRS).
