ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,258,309, issued on March 25, was assigned to Academic Pharmcauticals Inc. (Lake Bluff, Ill.).
"Ultra short acting anti-arrhythmic agents" was invented by John Somberg (Lake Forest, Ill.) and Robert J Chorvat (Chadds Ford, Pa.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Some aspects provide novel dofetilide derivatives and pharmaceutical compositions containing the same that are useful as pharmaceutical agents in the treatment of supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias."
The patent was filed on July 6, 2023, under Application No. 18/347,808.
