ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,409,252, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to Abyrx Inc. (Stamford, Conn.).

"Settable surgical implants and their packaging" was invented by John Pacifico (Greenwich, Conn.), Aniq Darr (Riverdale, N.Y.) and Richard L. Kronenthal (Fair Lawn, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to settable compositions for use in surgery. The invention also provides related compositions, including surgical kits and packages, as well as methods of making and using the settable compositions."

The patent was filed on Aug. 16, 2022, under Application No. 17/820,003.
