ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,275,985, issued on April 15, was assigned to ABBOTT DIAGNOSTICS SCARBOROUGH INC. (Scarborough, Maine).
"Redox labeled oligonucleotide probes and their use" was invented by Frank Ray Bowler (Norfolk, Great Britain), Grzegorz Artur Orlowski (Cambridgeshire, Great Britain), Hazel Lucy Greetham (Cambridgeshire, Great Britain), Cheng Zhou (Cambridgeshire, Great Britain), Niall A. Armes (Suffolk, Great Britain) and Olaf Piepenburg (Essex, Great Britain).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "This invention relates to sequence specific electrochemically-labeled oligonucleotide probes for the detection of nucleic acids and methods associated therewith."
