ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,385,776, issued on Aug. 12, was assigned to A&D COMPANY Ltd. (Tokyo).

"Windshield for balance" was invented by Hisanori Oda (Saitama, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The windshield includes an outer windshield defining a weighing chamber, and an inner windshield disposed inside the outer windshield and covering the weighing pan, the outer windshield includes a pair of left and right sliding doors openable and closable in side surfaces, and the inner windshield is provided with an opening in a surface facing one of the sliding doors, and a shielding wall is provided at a lower portion of the opening.
