ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,459,983, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to A2 BIOTHERAPEUTICS INC. (Agoura Hills, Calif.).

"Engineered immune cells with receptor signal strength modulated by a hinge" was invented by Alexander Kamb (Agoura Hills, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure provides engineered immune cells and methods for their creation and use. The immune cells comprise activating and blocking receptors, that exhibit cross-talk between the receptors."

The patent was filed on April 30, 2024, under Application No. 18/650,881.
