ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,291,280, issued on May 6, was assigned to 74 WELD INC. (El Cajon, Calif.).

"Off-road vehicle steering rack assembly" was invented by Quinn Pultz (Encinitas, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An improved steering rack assembly includes a rack housing and pinion case having a first bushing disposed over the rack at a location corresponding to the pinion. A cut-out in the bushing allows contact between the pinion and the rack while supporting the rack on either side of the pinion."

The patent was filed on July 18, 2024, under Application No. 18/777,440.
