ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,357,849, issued on July 15, was assigned to 3M Innovative Properties Co. (St. Paul, Minn.).
"Personal respiratory protection device" was invented by Garry J. Walker (Stockton-on-Tees, Great Britain).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to a personal respiratory protection device, in particular, such a device comprising a respirator body having a periphery, a filter media, forming at least part of the respirator body, and a gasket, the gasket being located at the periphery and extending along at least a portion of its length."
