ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,497,547, issued on Dec. 16, was assigned to 3M Innovative Properties Co. (St. Paul, Minn.).

"Water-based fire retardant thin film adhesive" was invented by Michael D. Zenner (Hudson, Wis.), Ryan K. McKenney (Roseville, Minn.), Dillon S. Gentekos (St. Paul, Minn.) and Eumi Pyun (St. Paul, Minn.).
