ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,409,020, issued on Sept. 9.

"Therapeutic covering for horses" was invented by Katherine L. Chrysostom (Ocala, Fla.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A therapeutic covering for a horse having a mesh material that is infused with ceramic mineral powder (emitting far-infrared wavelengths) and magnets coupled to the mesh material. The mesh material can have a mesh size that provides therapeutic effect, is breathable, and is bug resistant."

The patent was filed on Nov. 16, 2021, under Application No. 17/455,160.
