ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,408,725, issued on Sept. 9.
"Insole" was invented by Bernardo Birnbaum (Miami).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A shoe insole comprising a cut out that follows the projection of the metatarsal area, said insole made out of a rigid material, and with a first predetermined thickness so that a user's weight is transmitted to the user's toes and calcaneal anterior area while minimizing the weight applied to the metatarsal area."
The patent was filed on April 18, 2022, under Application No. 17/723,173.
