According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A suspended shelving apparatus for slidably supporting items below a ceiling includes a rail, a plurality of support members, and a shelf. Each support member of the plurality of support members is coupled to and extends downwardly away from the rail to the shelf. Each support member of the plurality of support members is slidable along the rail to move the shelf along a path parallel to the rail."
