"Methods and devices for COVID-19 testing using urine samples" was invented by Uchenna Chukwu (Minneapolis).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention generally includes methods, devices and/or kits for the detection of a COVID-19 infection in an individual by measuring the level or concentration or one or more ions present in a urine sample that is substantially free of COVID-19 RNA, antibodies, or antigen material."
The patent was filed on March 1, 2024, under Application No. 18/593,648.
