According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A magnetic audio distortion device is provided which produces consistent levels of magnetic flux, non-linear hysteresis, or saturation across the audio spectrum using soft magnetic materials in electromagnetic components such as, for example, transformers or inductors.
