According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A retainer for washing footwear, wherein fixing the footwear inside the washing machine drum by pressing the footwear against the drum inner surface with the footwear part opposite to the sole (toe, vamp, tongue, flap, lacing, quarter, soft edging, heel), for this the footwear are oriented in the drum with the soles to the drum center, and the upper part to the drum inner surface, while the locking jaws of the sliding clamping rail are attached to the foot...
