According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A wall hanging bracket is provided. The bracket utilizes a single anchor point to connect the bracket to the wall and has a slot spaced apart from and below the anchor point. A hanger such as a curtain rod hanger, picture hanger, or the like may be slideably held in the bracket to connect the hanger to the wall.
