According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The laser alignment device enables precise alignment of electrical metallic tubing (EMT conduit) by projecting a laser beam coaxially aligned with the conduit's central axis. The device features a housing, a laser guide, at least two feet, and a spring mechanism that centers the laser guide automatically to a center of the EMT conduit when attached.
