ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,414,672, issued on Sept. 16.

"Compact drying rack" was invented by Zak Wood (Sammamish, Wash.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A compact drying rack has a rectangular base section and an upright support section removably connected to the rectangular base section. The upright support section includes a front support arch and a rear support arch slidably interconnected by a double tongue and groove connection. The upright support section is connected to the base section by cantilever snap-fit connectors."

The patent was filed on Aug. 4, 2024, under Application No. 18/793,857.
