According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The post puller may comprise an equipment coupler, a post coupler, a linkage, and an elastic cord. The post puller may be configured to detachably couple to a lifting subsystem of a piece of equipment via the equipment coupler and to a post via the post coupler. The post puller may be operable to pull the post out of the ground as the piece of equipment moves the post puller rearward and upward.
