ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. PP37,007, issued on Oct. 7.
"Pennisetum plant named 'TUS022'" was invented by Kim Nielsen (Ringe, Denmark) and Tine Fogh Nielsen (Ringe, Denmark).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new and distinct cultivar of Pennisetum plant named 'TUS022' is disclosed, characterized by dark bronze red foliage color, and pink flower plumes changing to creamy-white. Plants are compact, low-maintenance and drought resistant. The new variety is a Pennisetum, typically produced as an outdoor ornamental plant."
The patent was filed on Feb. 28, 2025, under Application No. 19/066,727.
