According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An extendable furniture covering system protecting a chair from accumulating water includes a chair and a covering being couplable to the chair and being positionable from a closed position wherein the covering does not cover the chair to an open position wherein the covering covers the chair.
