"Secured gland for fluid-powered cylinder" was invented by Christopher Larew (Newburg, W.va.) and Naveen Koka (Oakdale, Pa.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A hydraulic cylinder apparatus. The apparatus includes a hydraulic cylinder barrel, a gland screwed into and bolted onto the hydraulic cylinder barrel, and a piston extending through the gland into the hydraulic cylinder barrel."

The patent was filed on July 16, 2024, under Application No. 18/774,901.
