According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An electrical motor is provided with a housing. An output shaft is supported for rotation about a rotary axis relative to the housing. A stator is fixed relative to the housing, whereas an armature is fixed relative to the output shaft. The armature is oriented coaxially with respect to the stator and driven for rotation together with the output shaft.
