"Intubation barrier box" was invented by Otto C. Susec (Chandler, Ind.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A transparent intubation barrier in the form of a box is provided which substantially reduces aerosol exposure and the transmission of disease between patient and healthcare provider."
The patent was filed on Nov. 11, 2020, under Application No. 17/095,246.
