According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An interactive media system is provided. The interactive media system allows users to access applications via communication devices coupled to a communication network. At least a portion of the network may be wireless. The interactive media system applications include wagering, financial, entertainment service, and other types of transactions. The system may be built-into or overlaid on streaming video on demand platforms."
