"Crawling gloves" was invented by Vul-khane Meroe (Covington, Wash.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A glove includes a fingerless glove body having a stiffener between the thumb and pointer finger to prevent a person from picking up objects between the thumb and pointer finger and putting them into her mouth. A brace is also provided to prevent the wearer from touching the palm of the glove with their fingers to further prevent a person from pickup up objects by making a fist and putting the objects into her mouth. The glove further provides abrasion resistance and slip resistance, such as for a crawling baby."...
