According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A universal adjuster includes a pivot rod, two clamping housings, two C-shaped rings, two side housings, a pressing column, and a locking operating element. The clamping housings surround the pivot rod and jointly form a clamping ring having a first rotational degree of freedom relative to the pivot rod.
