According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A sacroiliac fusion implant device assembly has an implant body with a sliding block and a pair of movable bone spikes. The distal end has a tapered end with an opening configured to receive a guide pin during insertion into a joint between a sacrum and an ilium, and the proximal end has a cannulated threaded post configured to receive a guide pin and to move a sliding block.
