ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,459,833, issued on Nov. 4.

"Process for the preparation of non-fibrous alkaline titanates with high specific surface and porosity" was invented by Mario Gerardo Terruzzi (Calvenzano, Italy).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A process for the preparation of non-fibrous alkaline titanates comprising the steps of: melting alkaline titanate in a furnace at a temperature ranging from 1300deg C. to 1500deg C. to form a molten product; cooling said molten product by placing it in contact with a material having a temperature equal to or lower than 15deg C."

The patent was filed on Dec. 18, 2019, under Application No. 17/416,915.
