According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A leak repair device for a pipe comprises a tubular member having an interior surface and an exterior surface with an adhesive or other bonding agent applied to the exterior surface of the tubular member. The tubular member includes a plurality of folds configured to allow the tubular member to expand contract. This feature allows the leak repair device to be delivered internally to a location within the pipe and then expanded to form a proper seal.
