"High efficiency drilling fluid shearing pump using staged tesla turbine" was invented by Aswath Krishnan (Spring, Texas), Reza Ettehadi Osgouei (Spring, Texas), Charles A. Thompson Jr. (Kingwood, Texas), Jose Martinez (Spring, Texas) and Nils Kaageson-Loe (Claremore, Okla.).

The system includes a turbine having a rotational axis, a fluid inlet for receiving the fluid, a disk rotatable about the rotational axis at a selected speed, and a fluid outlet for expelling the fluid from the turbine.
