According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A height adjustable manhole cover including an outer unit assembly, an inner unit assembly. The inner unit assembly is secure on top of a concrete manhole unit by means of a flange under a driving road surface. The inner unit assembly further includes on top an external threaded area.
