ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,460,546, issued on Nov. 4.

"External fluid bar for fluid driven cylinder" was invented by Christopher Scott Larew (Newburg, W.va.) and Naveen Koka (Oakdale, Pa.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A fluid driven cylinder having an integrated fluid channel. The fluid driven cylinder including an extended bar with a first surface continuously contacting the hydraulic cylinder barrel and a hydraulic fluid passage extending into a fluid chamber of the cylinder formed inside the extended bar."

The patent was filed on July 16, 2024, under Application No. 18/774,889.
