According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An exercise device for exercising generally with particular attention to the core muscles of the torso and abdomen includes a base. An upper surface of the base is hemispherical to require a person kneeling on the base to flex core muscles to maintain balance on the base.
