According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention is directed to a pet collar, leash, and/or other accessory that is both waterproof and buoyant. Advantageously, the disclosed products include a core layer comprising a buoyant material (such as polypropylene) that allow the products to float when at least partially immersed in water.
