According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A breast implant includes a smooth outer surface that is configured for permanent implantation. The breast implant has a three-dimensional deformable body which is substantially circular or substantially oval in plan view. The outer surface of the breast implant has a front side and a rear side. One or both of the front side and the rear side is provided with a plurality of ridges extending in a radial direction. Annular ridges and projections are optionally provided."
